OpenLab CDS Connectivity Test
Checks network connectivity between system components. This test requires the OpenLab CDS plug-in.
- On a Client: checks connectivity to all AICs in the system.
- On an AIC, Workstation, or Workstation Plus: checks connectivity to instruments configured on the machine.
- Not applicable to Server deployments.
Prerequisites
- The OpenLab CDS plug-in must be installed.
- For required roles and privileges, see Required Privileges per Test.
Connectivity tasks performed
- Confirms network connectivity between components: Client → AIC.
- On a client, checks connectivity to all AICs in the system.
- On an AIC, Workstation, or Workstation Plus, checks connectivity to all instruments configured on the machine.

If some instruments are not connected, the following message is displayed: "One or more instruments are not connected to this AIC," including a list of the disconnected instruments. Connect any disconnected instruments before running the test — if at least one instrument is not connected, the test will fail.

Running the test
Follow the general test execution steps: select OpenLab CDS Connectivity Test on the home page and click Start.
After the test
Results appear on the home page under Last result. Click the link to open the Connectivity Test report, or use the Execution History page to access reports from previous runs.
