Test Services Error Messages
The following lists all error messages that Test Services can generate, with actions to resolve them.
Account is expired
- Verify that the user account is valid in the OpenLab CDS Control Panel.
Test Services could not acquire a license. Please contact your system administrator to resolve the issue.

Verify that you have obtained a valid, non-expired license for Test Services in the OpenLab CDS Control Panel.

Verify that you have enough licenses available. If the number of licenses is insufficient, contact Agilent support for additional volumes.

Verify that the Flexera software (the third-party license management system) is operational by opening its dashboard. By default:

You should see a feature named
QlaSecuritywith a quantity matching the number of licenses obtained. - Server:

Restart the following Agilent OpenLab Windows services: License Server, Licensing Support, Shared Services, Test Services. (Press Windows + R, type
services.msc, and press Enter to open the Services page.)
Test Services Service is down or unavailable - please contact system administrator for assistance
- This error occurs when the Test Services Windows service stops being reachable — either due to network errors or because the service stopped. Verify that the port is still open and that the service is running. If necessary, restart the Agilent Test Services service in
services.msc.
Bad username or password
- Verify that the user has the correct username and password in the OpenLab CDS Control Panel administration page.
Logon credentials are either invalid or expired
- Troubleshooting steps are the same as for Bad username or password.
Authentication provider is not available
- This is an exception from the Shared Services authentication mechanism. Verify that the OpenLab CDS Control Panel does not report any errors and resolve the issues there.
Connection to server has failed
- Troubleshooting steps are the same as for Authentication provider is not available.
Failed to validate credentials
- Troubleshooting steps are the same as for Authentication provider is not available.
OLSS service is not available
- Troubleshooting steps are the same as for Authentication provider is not available.
Test Services cannot continue verification - please contact system administrator for assistance
- Troubleshooting steps are the same as for Authentication provider is not available.
User has empty password
- Troubleshooting steps are the same as for Authentication provider is not available.
User is disabled
- Troubleshooting steps are the same as for Authentication provider is not available.
User is temporarily blocked
- Troubleshooting steps are the same as for Authentication provider is not available.
User must change password
- Troubleshooting steps are the same as for Authentication provider is not available.
User is not mapped but is authenticated
- Troubleshooting steps are the same as for Authentication provider is not available.
Insufficient privileges to run Test Services
- The logged-in user does not have the privilege to access Test Services. Verify that the user has the Test Services User role. See Test Services Roles.
Test Services cannot create Test Services Project - please contact system administrator for assistance
- This error can occur if content management is unavailable, or if there are other issues in content management (such as disk space or licensing). Verify there are no issues with content management.
- You can also try removing the Test Services project from the Control Panel — it will be recreated automatically on the next run. All previous results will remain in content management untouched.
Report is not available in the storage
- The PDF report was not found in the designated content management folder. Verify that the current user has permissions to the folder specified in the Test Services configuration. This message can also occur if the file was removed or archived directly in content management — in that case, restart the Test Services execution.
Email server settings are not configured in Control Panel for OpenLab software
- Test Services uses email settings from OpenLab Shared Services. Go to the OpenLab Control Panel and configure your email preferences. See also Email Notifications Not Working.
