Release notes
This page is the entry point to the Test Services release notes. It explains how releases are numbered and links to the notes for each version. Test Services ships as a component of OpenLab CDS, so each Test Services version is delivered with, and compatible with, a specific OpenLab CDS version.
Test Services versions are written as MAJOR.MINOR (for example, 3.7); each release also carries an internal four-part build number (for example, 3.7.0.1122). The release notes follow the Keep a Changelog format: each version groups its entries under standard headings (Added, Changed, Deprecated, Removed, Fixed, and Security), and versions are listed newest first.
Each version page covers its release line as a whole. A version ships first with a specific OpenLab CDS version and is then maintained through later OpenLab CDS patch updates, so a version page includes changes delivered after the first build, not only those in the initial release.
Versioned releases
Each version below has its own page. Each version page lists what changed and the compatible OpenLab CDS version.
- Test Services 3.7: compatible with OpenLab CDS 3.0.
- Test Services 3.6: compatible with OpenLab CDS 2.8.
- Test Services 3.5: compatible with OpenLab CDS 2.7.
- Test Services 3.4: compatible with OpenLab CDS 2.6.
- Test Services 3.3: compatible with OpenLab CDS 2.5.
Product name history
The product was named QualA in earlier releases. The framework was renamed to Test Services in version 3.4, and the remaining references in the user interface and documentation were updated in version 3.6; the license names did not change. Earlier still, the product was known as Compliance Assist and, before that, as Automated Software Verification (ASV). These historical names appear only where a release note records the change itself. For the current term, see the Glossary.
