Log in to Test Services

Log in to Test Services from a web browser to view and run verification tests. Test Services is installed on every OpenLab CDS machine and is reached over the network, so you can open it from any machine in your lab.

Prerequisites

  • You need the user name and password that you use for OpenLab CDS. (On a file-based Workstation with authentication set to None, no login is required.)
  • You need the address of a machine that has OpenLab CDS installed.
  • You must have the OpenLab Shared Services administrator role for the first login after installation. (The first login finishes registering Test Services with the OpenLab Server. After that, the Test Services User role is sufficient.)

Open Test Services in a browser

The address depends on your deployment type. Use a supported browser (see System requirements).

Table: Test Services address by deployment type

DeploymentAddress
Server, AIC, Workstation, Workstation Plushttps://<hostname>/testservices or https://localhost/testservices
Client (local access)https://localhost:52088/testservices
Client (remote access)https://<client-fqdn>:52088/testservices

Replace <hostname> with the machine's host name and <client-fqdn> with the client's fully qualified domain name.

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Go to the address for your deployment type (see the address table above). The login page opens.
note

If a firewall protects the client system, make sure that port 52088 is open.

The login page accepts the same credentials as OpenLab CDS.

  1. Enter your OpenLab CDS user name and password.

  2. If your site uses domain authentication, select your Domain.

  3. Click Sign In.

The Test Services home page opens.

On the home page, tests that need no license appear first, and licensed tests appear under Licensed Tests. By default, only the tests recommended for the current machine are shown; to list every available test, select the here link in the "Click here to show all tests" prompt (see System types and recommended tests).
